Stylish West German vase by the well known and highly collectible firm of Scheurich Keramik. Scheurich Keramik started production in 1954, which was quite late compared to other West German pottery companies. Despite this, it soon became the largest producer of commercial art pottery in Germany.
This lovely example measures 22cm high, and tapers from 10cm at the base to 8cm at the neck. The vase features a speckled ombre effect from a rich dark brown to a lovely warm orangey brown and back again. It is finished in a high gloss glaze.
The base is marked ‘Scheurich Keramik W.Germany 201-22’.
There is a very small manufacturing glaze fault on one side at the bottom, this is not damage. See photos.
