Description

Stunning French onyx clock and garniture set by renowned French clock maker S Marti of Montbelard.

Samuel Marti was one of the finest French clockmakers of the 1800s and worked at Le Pays de Montbeliard in Paris.

Made in 1931 for the Paris Colonial Exhibition, this beautiful timepiece is in overall excellent condition and keeps good time. Featuring a stunning sculpture of a bird in pewter, next to a marble shield containing the clock movement, and two marble garnitures, this is a dramatic statement piece.
Measures 50cm long by 28cm high by 10cm deep approximately. Garnitures measure 11cm wide by 15cm high by 7cm deep approximately.
The small piece of marble that is below the main body of the clock is cracked and could be repaired although it does not affect the look or function of the clock and isn’t something you notice unless you look for it.
Due to the size and weight I am listing this as collection only but I am happy to discuss postage at cost with you.
