Description

Beautiful Ciro white lustre cultured single row pearl necklace, complete with a silver clasp and safety chain. The pearls date from 1967 and are presented in the original faux chagrin boxes.
Ciro were the premier English manufacturer of real and faux pearls and were in business from 1917 until the 1980s. They produced a range of superb quality jewellery under their own brand name, and for major jewellers worldwide.
This necklace has a single row of white lustre cultured pearls and is fitted with a lovely period silver clasp and safety chain, marked Sterling on the back. The cabochon has 11 white stones. The fifty one pearls are all of uniform shape and colour and all Ciro cultured pearls are of premium quality. This necklace measures 43cm in length, including the clasp. The pearls measure 7mm in diameter.
The box is the original period Ciro faux chagrin finish and is fitted with a padded satin interior. The top part of the closure is missing but the hidden sprung hinge keeps the box firmly closed.
The necklace comes with the original Pacific Pearl Traders Association Ltd certificate of authenticity N0 EJ11 10492, issued on 25/7/67.
